Like many others, the team at Forth Valley Vet Clinic donate countless hours for the treatment and care of injured and sick native wildlife in our Northern regions.
Our clinic continues to sees a growing number of wildlife cases every year.
Devoted volunteers and rescue groups work tirelessly to support Tassie wildlife but face many challenges. Wildlife treatment and rehabilitation resources are often stretched beyond limits. Our region desperately needed more resources to help protect and treat native wildlife and bolster specialist vet support for wildlife carers.
To help support our region, the management team of Forth Valley Vet Clinic have formed a wildlife charity focused on at increasing capacity for the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of sick and injured wildlife. Established in early 2023 as the Tasmania Wildlife Hospital, the organisation is a registered charity located on the North West coast of Tasmania.
The wildlife charity is seed-funded by our business owners Dr Joh Robertson and Alana Robertson and leverages our veterinary facilities, land, and staff. It brings together a dedicated team of vets, vet nurses, operational staff, and wildlife carers. These committed individuals volunteer their time and expertise to treat and care for sick and injured native wildlife in our region.
